Frankly I think this will resolve NO. I think he's top 2 or 3 worst. But to get below Buchanan you probably have to start a civil war. Not sure that will happen.

@Balasar yes it's basically inconceivable to me they rank him below buchanan saving a new civil war or a war with china. both which I find heavily unlikely in his term (although the latter more likely than former).

I think people who don't know many historians may have a warped view of these rankings

@Balasar I am not so sure - Buchanan seems to be considered bad for his inaction in face of an impeding crisis and some argue that he would do fine in a calmer period. Trump is choosing to very aggressively act and creates crises of his own...

@Balasar the attack on American institutions, the blatant corruption, the authoritarianism, and the economic incompetence of this government are truly unprecedented. Buchanan was a terrible president, but he did not create his crisis in the way Trump has.

If tariffs go through this should be at 90%, if not hard to say. Right now I'm betting they go through.
