Give an AI the text of a short story and it illustrates it in a consistent style with a quality and coherence as good as a human illustrator.

Looking for more along the lines of an illustrated picture book than a graphic novel or anything. The story should be able to have a word count of a typical literary short story, however.

"As good as human illustrator" resolves based on my judgement. I'm not an artist or very picky.

Can you give an example of a short story and an example of an illustrated story?

I think it could matter whether it's "A Visit From Saint Nicholas" drawn as a children's picture book vs something by Ted Chiang drawn like an issue of Sandman.
