Which is it?

The description is providing the context that Apple announced that they'd like to aquire both companies while the title is asking if they will successfully aquire both companes

@Eternal Did they announce that? I don't remember it, and a search doesn't find anything.
Probably moot now, given that SpaceX announced their deal to acquire Cursor. (And Anthropic's valuation is so high that I can't see Apple paying that price)

I'm skeptical, but also Apple is apparently valued at ~$3.1T and Anthropic at only ~$61B (which is about a 50-fold scale difference).
