This market is strictly about his registration label. If he registers as an Independent but continues to caucus with the Democrats, it resolves to Independent / Other.
The "Independent / Other" option triggers if he registers as Unaffiliated, Independent, or with any third party (e.g., Forward, Libertarian, Green).

If he no longer has an office or a voter registration, I would likely resolve to his last known party (which is currently Democratic) but would ask the traders if it should resolve to N/A.
