But how should it be counted? You are likely to lose most of it - for example, if you create a binary market and "invest" 1000M, it becomes known that the outcome is yes, someone bets it up to 99%, and then you resolve it, you will only get about 100M back.

@FH7979e But I can remove that liquidity at any point. It's still under my control!

@Eliza I thought I cannot remove liquidity until the market is resolved. Is that wrong?

That's available for binary markets.

For multiple choice markets and other forms, the market creator has the ability to close the market's trading at any point if they no longer wish to pay for the answer. When the market resolves they will get their share of the liquidity pool back according to how it resolves.

At any point in time, the market creator has strong control over the liquidity they have put into their markets. Which is why I think it should still be included in net worth.
