@journcy What does "surviving" mean for somebody who isn't alive? Roy implies at one point when talking to Celia that Xykon already died at the first gate, would something like this happening again count?
@CollinMatthews To be consistent with the "death followed by resurrection is still death" criterion in the context of lichness, I'd say Xykon survives iff his physical form and phylactery are not both destroyed, even if he uses some spell to somehow persist in some other, non-lich-based manner.
What if a character survives the main action of the strip, but there's some sort of epilogue or flashforward that shows that they've died? (For example, as an ultimate troll, Belkar makes it through the final battle completely unscathed, with a final strip explaining that he was killed in an unrelated accident a week later?)
