Resolution criteria
Resolves YES if the S&P 500 price index (SPX, a.k.a. ^GSPC) prints an intraday high at or above 6,800 on or before 2025-10-31 (New York time), as shown in the “High” column on a reputable daily OHLC source. Primary source: Investing.com’s S&P 500 Historical Data page. Secondary reference for the instrument itself: S&P Dow Jones Indices’ official S&P 500 page. Futures (ES), ETFs (e.g., SPY), and the total-return index do not count—only the price index. If 6,800 is never reached by the cutoff, resolves NO. (investing.com)
Background
As of Sep 12, 2025, the S&P 500 traded around 6,590, putting 6,800 roughly 3.2% above that level. Recent sessions set new records, with an intraday high around 6,600 on Sep 12 and record closes in mid-September. (reuters.com)
Considerations
Only the index’s official daily high matters; closing above 6,800 is not required. Verify in the daily “High” column for any trading day up to and including 2025-10-31. (investing.com)
