abbreviating an adjective meaning "human" to the word for a particular insect is horrible.

Though I guess we already crossed that line with "anthropomorphic animal" -> "anthropomorphic" -> "anthro", resulting in "anthro" becoming ambiguous between "human, as opposed to animal" and "animal, as opposed to human".

Human language makes me misanthropic.

Why do people think ANTH? To me, ANT makes more sense bc that’s what people call it colloquially
