This market is about the role of wind power in the EU’s energy transition. According to Eurostat, wind power accounted for 19.0% of the EU’s net electricity generation in 2021. Wind power was the second largest source of renewable electricity in the EU, after hydro power (20.3%).
This market will resolve to “Yes” if wind power accounts for more than 25% of the EU’s net electricity generation by 2025. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No.” The outcome will be determined by the data from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
