This tweet suggest something wild just happened at Open AI. Fact or crap? What happened?
Feel free to add other answer choices.
I will not bet on this market as soon as I can figure out how to click the button that bans me from betting.
Update 2026-09-14 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Regarding the RSI (Recursive Self-Improvement) option:
Defined as recursive self improvement.
Will resolve to yes if the tweet author claims it as RSI.
Otherwise, requires evidence of a major capability gain (10x+) in this category.
An ordinary improvement of 2-5x is not enough.

New tweet today - it’s hard for me to understand but the short version is that Open AI may have done something to cause the internet to be unusable for training purposes?
I can’t follow the dialogue, but I’d definitely put “we can’t train on the internet anymore because of something we did” to be wild.
May end up leaving this open longer until it’s clear what is rumor and what has substance.
@traders between the follow up tweet and the lack of any additional evidence coming to light, I’m leaning toward resolving this market at the end of the week absent new evidence.
If anyone feels I should wait longer, please speak up and state your case so I can give you a fair hearing.
@MRME Andrew Curran asked the same thing and got an answer from Noah Brown which was basically “no, nothing happened apart from insane rate of progress and HF” (sorry cba to find tweet)
@Quroe recursive self improvement. If the tweet author claims it as RSI, I’d defer to that. I’d also treat evidence of a major capability gain (10x+) in this category.
“Ordinary” improvement of 2-5x is not enough here.
