This question will resolve positively if, on January 20, 2029, the US Institute of Peace continues to exist. If USIP at that time either is formally dissolved or exists as a shell with little or no funding or employees, the question will resolve no.
As background, the Trump administration attempted in March 2025 to take over the USIP building, remove the president and board members, and fire most employees. In May 2025, a DC District Court judge ruled that takeover unlawful.
