This market will resolve according to a poll that I will make at market close. The poll will have the same possible answers as this question. Answers will resolve to the % of poll respondents chosing that option.

  • Update 2025-05-10 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has clarified that the 'willingness to pay' in the market question, and thus in the resolution poll, refers to a per month basis.

  • Update 2025-05-11 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has clarified more details about the hypothetical subscription-based scenario that will be used for the resolution poll:

    • Users without a subscription:

    • Would not be able to log in (and therefore could not bet, own mana, or comment).

    • Would still be able to read the site.

  • Update 2025-05-20 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has provided further details for the hypothetical subscription scenario that the resolution poll will be based on:

    • The subscription would grant access to all available subscription-based perks.

    • It would be a single-tier system (no multiple tiers).

To clarify: Manifold users paying this subscription would get access to ALL subscription based perks available, there wouldn't be a system with multiple tiers.

In this scenario, people without a subscription wouldn't be able to log in or wouldn't they be able to read the site at all?

@ArmandodiMatteo Oh, great question, they wouldn't be able to log in(/bet/own mana/comment), but they could still read the site, I believe that would make more sense.

@GastonKessler (I would probably be willing to pay $1 per month if I wouldn't otherwise be able to see what other people are betting and commenting, but if I can do that for free I wouldn't be willing to pay anything to be able to bet and comment myself)

Per month?

@4fa yeah sorry I forgot to mention that

@GastonKessler No worries! Feel free to hide my comment now that it's been addressed. 👍
