To count as the Apple Vision Pro 2, a device must retain the original functions of the Apple Vision Pro and expand on them in such a way as to make clear that it is the successor, regardless of its name.
In order to be considered released, the product must be available for purchase by the general public in 2025.

@Bayesian how are you feeling here? I think it's down to description phrasing whether this resolves YES or not. Have the "functions" really been expanded, in a way that it can be called a "successor"? I think it's more in line with a refresh/update, and definitely not a "Vision Pro 2" (I realize this is not necessary to resolve YES).
I was intending to copy https://polymarket.com/event/will-apple-vision-pro-2-be-released-by-december-31 since the description of this market is mostly a summary of theirs. but also polymarket added a clarification to theirs which is cursed. I think both N/A and Yes are reasonable. Thoughts?
@Bayesian haha yeah tricky spot. I basically agree that the Polymarket addition is cursed, and traded more on thinking 95% is too high than actually thinking this shouldn't count. After reading more, I wouldn'tbe upset about a YES :)
@Bayesian Regardless of the silliness that's going on at Polymarket, this is the 2nd gen Vision Pro. It has the faster chip, a slightly updated design in terms of the "Dual Knit Band", and even a clear cut new feature: 120 Hz support. It's only not called the "2" because Apple numbers some product lines (iPhone, Apple Watch) but not others (Macs, iPads).
Ars Technica calls it the "second-generation Vision Pro": https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025/10/with-considerably-less-fanfare-apple-releases-a-second-generation-vision-pro/
Historically, Apple launches products about 1-3 weeks after they file documents for them with the FCC. So the Vision Pro 2 should come out mid-October now.

One of several documents the FCC shared today references an Apple-designed "Head Mounted Device" with a model number of A3416. An included image confirms the device is a Vision Pro.
According to rumors, Apple is working on a refreshed version of the Vision Pro that has a faster M5 chip. The headset isn't expected to feature design updates, with Apple simply updating the M2 chip to a newer, more capable M-series chip. The updated Vision Pro could launch before the end of the year, and it will likely continue to be priced at $3,499.
