Charges must be filed or the police must state that the shooter is likely dead for a YES resolution. In the case that charges are filed, the resolution date will be retroactively set to the day that the corresponding individual was apprehended. In the case that the shooter is killed/dead, the resolution date will be the day that police killed the shooter or the day when the shooter was discovered to be dead if that death was not caused by the police.
