This market resolves YES if any major OpenAI partner or investor (including but not limited to Microsoft, Khosla Ventures, Reid Hoffman, or other significant backers) publicly distances themselves from Sam Altman personally (not just OpenAI as a company) in relation to the lawsuit filed by Ann Altman, before May 15, 2025.
"Distancing" includes statements expressing concern about the allegations, calling for investigation, suspending personal relationships or collaborations, or similar actions that indicate reduced support for Altman personally.
The market resolves NO if no such public distancing occurs by May 15, 2025.
Resolution will be based on public statements reported by credible news sources.

Background
Sam Altman is the CEO of OpenAI, which has received significant investment from major partners including Microsoft ($13+ billion), Khosla Ventures, and other prominent investors. In November 2023, Altman was briefly removed as CEO by OpenAI's board before being reinstated after pressure from investors and employees.
The lawsuit filed by Ann Altman (no relation to Sam) is part of ongoing legal challenges facing OpenAI. Separately, Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Sam Altman, alleging deviation from the company's original nonprofit mission, though this is distinct from the Ann Altman lawsuit referenced in this market.
Resolution Criteria
This market resolves YES if before May 15, 2025:
Any major OpenAI partner or investor (including but not limited to Microsoft, Khosla Ventures, Reid Hoffman, or other significant backers) makes a public statement distancing themselves specifically from Sam Altman personally (not just from OpenAI as a company)
The distancing must be specifically in relation to the lawsuit filed by Ann Altman
"Distancing" includes statements expressing concern about allegations, calling for investigation, suspending personal relationships or collaborations, or similar actions indicating reduced support for Altman personally
The market resolves NO if:
No major OpenAI partner or investor makes such a public statement by May 15, 2025
Partners or investors distance themselves from OpenAI as a company but not from Sam Altman personally
Partners or investors distance themselves from Altman for reasons unrelated to the Ann Altman lawsuit
Resolution will be based on public statements reported by credible news sources.
Considerations
The threshold for what constitutes "distancing" will be interpreted reasonably. Mild expressions of concern that fall short of actual distancing will not qualify for YES resolution. The statement must clearly indicate a reduction in personal support or relationship with Altman specifically.
