Buick is going all-electric, but has yet to launch its first EV in the United States. The brand has been selling roughly 100k-150k gasoline vehicles each year, but almost half of its American dealerships have decided to close rather than sell EVs. In 2023, all of GM's brands combined sold only 75,000 electric vehicles. Even Doug DeMuro thinks the Buick brand will leave the US soon.
Resolves YES if General Motors reports selling at least twenty thousand new Buick-badged EVs in the United States during calendar year 2030.
Resolves NO if the number is smaller or if General Motors removes Buick as an active brand in the United States.
