Context: How One Steam Developer Made a Million Dollars Selling a Remote Access Trojan

This is frustrating issue because it has the potential to cause massive harm to innocent users, the devs are aware of this and actively trying to hide the existence of the vulnerability from their users, but since (to my knowledge) it has not actually been exploited by a malicious party yet, no one has standing for damages in a traditional lawsuit.

There could be other claims made though, or it actually gets exploited. (Personally I kind of hope someone uses this to hack the devs and post a warning about it from the company account, that would be quite fitting. But also illegal, sadly.)
