Nintendo has not officially announced the next Mario Kart game or its title. The most recent mainline entry in the series is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch, released in 2017 as an enhanced port of the 2014 Wii U game. Since then, Nintendo has released Mario Kart Tour for mobile devices in 2019, but this is generally considered a spin-off rather than a numbered mainline entry.

The naming convention for the next Mario Kart game is subject to debate among fans:

• If Nintendo follows the traditional numerical sequence, "Mario Kart 9" would be the logical choice

• If Nintendo counts Mario Kart Tour as a mainline entry, "Mario Kart 10" could be possible

• "Mario Kart X" has gained popularity as a speculative title, with "X" potentially representing either the Roman numeral for 10 or serving as a subtitle placeholder

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve to the official title of Nintendo's next Mario Kart game as announced by Nintendo through official channels (press release, Nintendo Direct, social media, etc.).

If the title matches one of the options listed, that option will resolve as YES and all others as NO. If Nintendo announces a title that is not listed among the current options, a new option can be added for that title.

The market will only consider full console/handheld Mario Kart games developed by Nintendo, not spin-offs, mobile games, DLC, or remasters/ports of existing games. For example, additional DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would not count as a new game.
