When a threshold passes and a Yokozuna has not yet retired, the threshold will resolve No. As soon as one Yokozuna retires, all remaining thresholds resolve Yes.

The date of the next Yokozuna to retire will be the last time their name appears on the banzuke. So for the case of Terunofuji it was January 2025. For the case of Hakuho it was September 2021.

Example: If someone retires in November 2026 and their name does NOT appear on the banzuke in January 2027, then the "Before 2027" option resolves Yes and so do all the other ones. If they do appear on the January 2027 banzuke, then that option would resolve No.
